Updates

I just added a guitar lesson page on my site although i need to find time to teache about 5 new students.. When is the question.. I'm workin' on it...Brian from Perks and Corks in Westerly RI just called me. Wants to set up dates in April.. Sounds fun.. I'll have to call him back. The article in the Weterly times has had some effect. He mentioned it...And the pic in the Sun... Slowly I'm getting the word out there...

Summer

It feels like summer... I have 3 gigs this week, All bar gigs. I need to get the word back out about whrn I play at the HArp and Hound. Could have been the Thunder and Lightning.. A few of my fiends showed up but it was less than I hoped for. I bet it was a fluke because of the storms... I'm going to put up a few posters next time to remind people. I think that helps a lot. I just booked another gig at Stash'h with Graham. Can't wait to play with him again. I miss the duo sometimes. Although in the last year I have gotten much more comfortable doing the solo thing. I just got some corespondance about playing on Block Island next Month, not sure if I will be ablr to do it but I'm goijng to try. At the National Hotel, The big one when you firs get there. That would be cool. I played at a wedding at the Mystic Art Association this month. It went very well. The acoustics in the gallery were good. The family seemed happy with my performance. Congrats Chris and Linda Wright. I may have mentioned my Johnathan Edwards Winery gig, But I am going to again. If you are thinking of getting married it is a beasutiful spot. I played a ceremony there not to long ago. in the cask room. It rained but it turened out to be lovely anyway. everyone had a great time.Including me, Melissa and Alex who I played for are old friends and I enjoyed the reception. I have over 150 friend on My Space now. That;s pretty cool. I know some of you have many more but I try not to just go out and put everybody possible on there. The bulletins I send out from My Space seenn to help with gig attendance. Gotta go to work, Cleaning, My day job, Or at leasty one of them. No lessons to teach today but I do have a gig at The Riverwalk tonight, Seems Like I do a lot of double/triples lately.. Clean and Gig at night or Clean Teach Then gig. It gets tireing but the show must go on!

DPI-Summer Lessons

DPI was hopping last night, Summer seems to finally be here!! Lots of repeat customers from my Tuesday night gig, A double header at DPI. I filled in for Steve on Tuesday night... Sox Have won 11 in a row and beat Pedro last night.. Beckett looked good... My Summer guitar leeson schedule is in the works, It might be a chanllenge to reconfigure it but it's getting there, Hope I don't lose to many students for the summer, I'd like to see them all keep up with it.. Some of them are getting really good and have put time into it. I'd love to see them all continue to progress...

Harp And Hound

I only played once this past month at the Harp. It was a great show!!! Tons of supportive feedback. I hope to get some more shows booked soon, I love playing here and the room is very comfortable..The crowd is usually very receptive as well. They also have a great bar menu, Bangers and Mash, Homemade soups, Lobster rolls and much more. The staff is friendly and acccomodating and they have a great beer and single malt selection. Keep checking my schedule for updates and news...

Busy Summer

I have a feeling that it is going to be a busy summer. I have been getting calls to do parties and weddings. A bunch of requests for my services in the past few weeks, Some of the events are only weeks away, People need to plan ahead! I played yesterday at a wedding in Canterbury CT.. Susan ( Tayla's Aunt) and David.. Congrats. It went well.... Until I got rained on outside during the dinner portion of the performance.... No tent. It was actually humorous , or would have been if I didn't lose my I-Pod.... I been stressing that all morning.. We ran my stuff in the garage in the downpour and I had to wipe my guitar down with paper towels. What a mess. I bet mt ipod will show up. I hope so anyway... That was my baby! I put a wedding music page on my website. Very basic but I included a few of the photos that Larry did for me.. I need to put some audio on there next.... I started a new student a few weeks ago, I have a couple students on the weekend, people who are only here once in the while I do them When I can fit them. It's woth it though, They are 1 hour lessons in... SInce they are adults they are able to take more musical torture. i have been practicing classical guitar just about every day... I want to experience what my students feel when the are doing music which is to hard for tham and takes time to achieve. I'm trying to play some pretty difficult stuff. It is good for my sight reading.. Reading up the neck is hard!!!! in hard keys like B major etc... I bought Rush "Moving Pictures" I love that album, I remember playing Tom Sawyer on the juke box at Mr Pizza in North Stonington when I was a kid....Pizza and instant mashed potatoes were my favorite combo, I was a weird kid.The indians bought the builing and now it is an Admin center or something.... It's fathers day, Ithink Diane and Ava are bringing me out to lunch, I'm hungry.... I ate at THe Hard Rock Cafe on the way hjome last night, Cool atmosphere, Bland food.... Guess you don't go to the Hardrock for the food, It's the guitars hangin on the walls and loud tunes... Cool visuals...

Wedding

I played at a wedding on Saturday and it went very well. The day turned out to be beautiful. I played Ave Maria, Trumpet Voluntary, Pachabell Canon in D and From This Moment as some of the ceremony pieces. The clients seemed happy and I got a lot of positive feed back... I had played in the Mystic Village Chapel before, It is a nice room to play in... I went to Roger Williams Zoo with Ava today,,, It was fun, Mechanical dinosaurs are always cool..I photograped a double rainbow from my front yard today, Strange storm front blew in and it began to hail. The darkest clouds mixed with some bright sun shining through in places, very ominus, The rainbow followed, Ava and I ran out in the front yard to get a better look and take pictures., It was awesome.... Gotta go clean an office now, It is 10:48 pm on Sunday, Yawn, Guess I'll go get this done...

Broken Ankle

Ankle, Broken, OUCH.. My buddy Ross busted his ankle playing soccer. So I've been scrambling trying to find helpers for my Cleaning Bizz...Nate and Kristen helped this week .Thanks guys... What a pain in the,,, Ankle....He will be out for a while...I've Been listening to Revolver and Sgt. Peppers by The Beatles.. GOOOOD Stuff..

No Hair, No Beard, No Soul..

Johny Damon returned tonight for the first time to Fenway, and was showered with dollars bills from fans.. Gotta love it... he went 0-4 ..nice...I am addicted to Baseball....Mirabelli returned to catch Wake, Thank God...PAPI HR. SWEET...Enough of that,,,, I have been very busy, Cleaned a cotttage tonight, Finished it off. It was a pain but it's done, Hope they are not shocked at my fee.....Took forever... Musically...Played 3 gigs last week. little slow, Not bad on friday @ Riverwalk ..early crowd...Summer is on it's way.....What else? ....I'm fully teaching 4 days a week. busy, busy......Started a new student tonight..Welcome Quinn Slocum!! First lesson ever.only 1 gig this week. DPI .
Gettin late.
