Barry Bonds

Dear Barry,
Under no circumstances are you allowed to quit, exit , leave, retire, walkout or any other form of saying bye that would equate to you aborting the mission. This is not your mission alone. This is baseball's, and millions of baseball fans mission. For all of us who played the game and the love the game, to see you walkout while in earshot of the all time most prestigious record in the game of baseball would be a slap in our collective faces. Don't let the bloodhounds shake you. You have to realize and understand that sensationalism sells. This new book timed for your historical season is strictly business and nothing personal.

Bloodhounds smell and sniff out blood. Every story written about steroids means nothing to us in the know. While we don't endorse, support or condone the usage of steroids in any shape or form, we also are keenly aware of the hand eye coordination and science of hitting that is necessary to hit on the level of excellence that you do Barry. Nobody does it better. No one has done it better. As you close in on the record, and the day of reckoning is at hand, there will be many attemps by the bloodhounds to shake you and force you to quit. Old girlfriends, used car dealers, former barbers, and even fix and repair men. You name them, the stories are coming. Each one meant to somehow discredit your skills and accomplishments even though they have nothing to do with the game. They want to discourage, pressure you and stress you out, literally. Barry don't let them fool you. You are loved by many. I love you. You have brought me so much joy in your mastery of the game of baseball. Don't let the bloodhounds win. Finish the mission. Do it for San Francisco, do it for baseball, do it for your kid's, do it for your Dad (R.I.P.), and do it for yourself.

Barry,
you deserve to be the all time greatest homerun hitter in baseball history. The hounds, they deserve the dog pound.

What Music Do You Like To Play?
Often when I ask people at my gigs what they want to hear they turn it around on me and ask me what I like to play.. It stumps me sometimes... I get tired of saying the Beatles because thats not entirely true, (They are my favorite band but I'm not always into playing there tunes)Sometimes it is true but music is a mood thing. You all listen to music, its a state of mind choice, It's not always the right time to put on an AC/DC track or the Classical station, or whatever. It changes according to what is going on, Choosing what music to Perform is alot like Choosing what music to listen to, The energy in a room can dictate what music is most enjoyable and appropriate to perform, Sometimes I'm feeling mello or the crowd is mello and it's the wrong time to bust out "blister in the sun" or Guns and Roses...I enjoy playing what gets people feeling "alright"..other times if I need to lay low because of the mood I'm or because I'm very tired ( I work alot ), I will play fingerpicking songs or ballads. So just like someone may put on a Rockin' album when they want to let loose ( Van Halen 1 or 2) or a mellow classic whan they want to chill ( Nick Drake-Pink Moon) picking the music I enjoy performing at the time depends on alot of diffrent peoples moods. I'm not in it for just me. Usually it is most fun to play to the crowd rather than to play to myself ( although I have been getting more requests for my originals) , I've done alot of that over the years and you have got to be right on to pull it off. People have to connect to the performer somehow and often I make that connection by taking requests, It is very cool if I can play a song for somebody, even if it isn't always perfect. Tips are always better when I engage the crowd and take requests. And that doesn't hurt!! So what do you like to play? wasn't the easiest question to answer once I sat down and thought about it. I'm still thinking about it and I guess if I had to sum it up with brevity I would say, "It depends on the situation". Or " It depends on when you ask me" ..OR Ii'll turn it around on the person asking and ask, "whats your favortie song or your favorite type of music?"
I wanna "give the people what they want" and keep some musical integrity. O.K.....I play " Margaritaville on a regular basis. There goes that integrity theory. To amend my former statement... If the ladies dig it, I wanna "give the ladies what they want", I'll play "dave" matthews all night. ( o.k. I only know 3 or 4 tunes by him) if the chicks be diggin it.

M.C. Hammer--James Spams People
Hey Yall,
I just heard on The Jim Rome radio show that M.C Hammer has a blog. I feel honored to be in such elite company. Hammer was talkin' about How Barry Bonds Shouldn't let the "Hounds" Keep him from achieving the Home Run title etc Blah Blah..Rome was funny, He said he wanted to hear Hammers thoughts on Iraq and Other world issues.. Thats why I don't talk about stuff like that much. Nobody want to hear it from me. Although I do want to go and check out Hammers blog now. ( Maybe hammer is on to something?)Rome has got me intriuged. I have 3 gigs this week, trying to get the word out, I'm making more of a concerted effort to give my printed schedules out and to e-mail/ Myspace Post People about GIGS, Hope it makes a difference. I've been searching for local people on my space to Put on my gig list and friends list, It's wierd e-mailing people I don't know and telling them to come, I guess it cant hurt, Although alot of people I have requested as friends Haven't goten back to me.. A few have thoough. Worst that can happen is that my name gets out there a bit more, So maybe if Peeps R Looking for something to do They will see my name somewhere and recognize it..I can't believe I'm spaming people, Gotta do What U Gottta do..We'll see if it's worth the time....
